University of Miami defensive tackle Marcus Forston will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury, the school said Thursday.
Forston, a junior, suffered a non-contact injury during practice on Wednesday and is the second Hurricanes defensive starter to be lost for the season in the past week.
Linebacker Ramon Buchanon went down with a right knee injury during Saturday's victory over Bethune-Cookman.
Forston has one year of eligibility remaining, while head coach Al Golden hopes Buchanon will get a medical hardship exemption and be able to play next season.
