The New York Mets reinstated infielder Ronny Cedeno from the 15-day disabled list Friday.
Cedeno, 29, went on the DL last month with a left intercostal strain. He is batting .250 with a .438 on-base percentage in 10 games this season.
To make room for him on the roster, the Mets optioned infielder/outfielder Vinny Rottino to Triple-A Buffalo. Rottino was 0-for-4 in three games, including one start.
