The Carolina Hurricanes agree to terms with forward Tim Wallace on a one-year, two-way contract Thursday.
Wallace split 49 games last season between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning, recording three goals and six assists.
"Tim is a versatile forward and played well with Tampa Bay to finish the year,' Hurricanes vice president of hockey operations Ron Francis said. "He has a good amount of pro experience and should challenge for a spot with the Hurricanes in training camp."
Over 79 career games with the Penguins, Islanders and Lightning, the 27-year- old has three goals, eight assists and a minus-four rating.
