The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated second baseman Aaron Hill from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.
The 2012 NL Silver Slugger Award recipient suffered a fractured left hand on April 9 against Pittsburgh after being hit with a James McDonald pitch.
The 31-year-old was batting for .306 with two homers and six RBI over 10 games before landing on the disabled list.
Hill played in six rehab games for Triple-A Reno and hit .375 with six RBI with one double and one triple.
Left-handed pitcher Joe Paterson was optioned to Reno after appearing in two games for Arizona allowing one run in 2 1/3 innings.
