Celtic announced Thursday that it has signed Australian midfielder Tom Rogic on a four-and-a-half year contract.
Rogic, 20, produced five goals in 24 A-League appearances for Central Coast Mariners. He ventured to Scotland for a trial with Celtic and impressed Hoops manager Neil Lennon enough to make the move permanent. He will officially become a Celtic player upon the grant of a work permit.
"The club can confirm an application will be made to the appropriate authorities in the next couple of days," read a statement on Celtic's website.
