Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez underwent an emergency appendectomy Friday night, according to the team's Twitter account.
The club tweeted Saturday that Gonzalez is resting comfortably in a local Denver hospital.
Gonzalez was limited to 110 games last season because of a sprained right finger, but he still batted .302 with 26 homers and 70 RBI.
