Chris Hass made a go-ahead layup and Ryan Frazier added a late jumper to help Bucknell move past Holy Cross 61-57 Saturday.
The Bison (8-7, 3-1 Patriot League) erased an early 13-point lead, storming back with a 16-3 run to tie it at halftime. They pushed their lead to seven in the second half.
Holy Cross (7-9, 1-3) reclaimed a three-point lead as Justin Burrell sank a jump shot with 4:34 remaining, but Brian Fitzpatrick and Hass each made layups and Frazier's basket with 42 seconds left capped a 6-0 Bucknell run.
Dave Dudzinksi sank two free throws to pull Holy Cross within one, but Justin Burrell couldn't connect on a go-ahead 3-pointer after a split pair of free throws by Ryan Hill.
Ben Brackney had 13 points for Bucknell and Ayers had 10.
Malcolm Miller led the Crusaders with 17 points and nine boards.
