Adrian Peterson says he plans on playing against Green Bay on Sunday despite a sore groin that has taken away some of his explosiveness.
Peterson spoke before practice on Thursday. He is taking it easy during the week to rest up and prepare for a game against the Minnesota Vikings' biggest rivals. The reigning NFL MVP says he has not considered taking a week or two off to heal up now that the Vikings are 2-8 and at the bottom of the NFC North.
Peterson says he still believes they have a chance. The Vikings haven't been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet. Peterson says his teammates are still competing, and he isn't ready to give up on the season just yet.
