The Cleveland Cavaliersare the latest team to cave and sell a jersey sponsorship.

The team has struck a deal with Goodyear, the tire and rubber company that was founded in Akron in1898, and will have the company's logo on their jerseys starting next season. Goodyear's Wingfoot logo will be featured on the left breastplate of the jersey.

It seems inevitable that every team will ink a jersey ad deal sooner or later. It's greatthat the Cavs -- like several other teams that have already announced a partnership -- are choosing to rep a company with local roots. Plus, it's a bonus that Goodyear's logo is pretty cool.

For the jersey purists out there, there's still good news: The ads won't be included on jerseys bought from the league's official merchandise store.
