Kelvin Gastelum asked to fight Anderson Silva next and now he's got his wish.

Silva actually took to Instagram on Monday to ask for a fight against Nick Diaz, but it appears the UFC had other ideas in mind for the former middleweight champion.

Silva is coming off a win over Derek Brunson this past February at UFC 208 and fighting at home in Brazil for his next bout always seemed like the perfect landing spot for the legendary middleweight.

Gastelum presents an interesting matchup for Silva after going 2-0 in his last two fights with knockouts over both Tim Kennedy and Vitor Belfort.

Last Saturday night, Gastelum finished Belfort with strikes in the first round before asking for Silva as his next opponent.

Now Gastelum will face Silva on his home turf as part of the UFC 212 card headlined by the featherweight title unification bout between Jose Aldo and Max Holloway.
