David Branch is finally ready to make his return to the UFC.
The former World Series of Fighting light heavyweight and middleweight champion is expected to face Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 211 in Dallas on May 13.
Sources close to the matchup confirmed the fight to FOX Sports on Tuesday following an initial report from MMAFighting.com.
Branch re-signed with the UFC a few weeks ago after becoming a free agent from his previous promotion.
A winner of 10 fights in a row, Branch was a big pick up for the UFC as he rejoins the promotion with a wealth of experience under his belt compared to his previous stint in the promotion when he had first started his professional career.
In recent years, Branch has beaten a long list of former UFC and WEC fighters including Yushin Okami, Jesse Taylor, Clifford Starks and Vinny Magalhaes.
Now Branch will return to the Octagon against a top 15 opponent in Jotko.
Jotko, who is currently ranked No. 11 in the world, enters the fight on an impressive five fight win streak including a victory over former middleweight title contender Thales Leites.
Jotko has gone 6-1 overall during his stint with the UFC and now he'll face a former two division champion looking to stake a claim to his ranking in the division.
Branch vs. Jotko is expected to join a growing line up headed to Dallas including heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic meeting Junior Dos Santos in the main event as well as strawweight queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk putting her title on the line against Jessica Andrade.
