LOS ANGELES (AP) Stefan Jovanovic scored a career-high 16 points, including the winning put-back, to lift Loyola Marymount to a 69-68 win over Cal State Northridge on Saturday night.
Trailing by three with 54 seconds left, Loyola Marymount (4-3) got a pair of free throws from Jovanovic to cut the deficit to 68-67. Cal State Northridge then turned it over, setting up Brandon Brown's missed layup, which Jovanovic put back with nine seconds left to edge the Lions back on top for good.
Cal State Northridge (3-7) missed a layup at the other end, got the rebound and then missed 3-pointer just ahead of the buzzer.
