The Los Angeles Rams have locked up head coach Jeff Fisher for a few more years, despite his recent lack of success. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Fisher has signed a two-year extension to remain in Los Angeles through the 2018 season.

Fisher has gone 31-43 in five years with the Rams, finishing below .500 in each of them. This season, the Rams are 4-7 after beginning the year 3-1. With Jared Goff entrenched as the starting quarterback, it appears the front office wanted to keep some continuity by extending Fisher, despite his poor record.

Terms of the deal have not yet been revealed, but according to reports, Fisher actually signed the contract weeks ago after agreeing to the deal in the preseason. The news is just now surfacing.
