One of the long-standing traditions of the NASCAR Premier Series Awards banquet is the after-party, a private, invitation-only event that occurs after the formal, made-for-tv portion of the evening is over.

The after-party, which runs deep into the next morning, is where the championship-winning team and a few hundred of their closest friends really get to let their hair down.

For years, the tradition was that the champion of a given season was allowed to pick the band to play at the after-party.

As NASCAR lore has it, one past champion wanted Jimmy Buffett to play back when the after party was at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York. But supposedly Buffet asked $1 million to play the show, so the B-52s got the gig instead.

But this time in Las Vegan, seven-time Cup champion Jimmie Johnson definitely got A-list talent, as the legendary rapper Snoop Dogg played the after-party.

And from the looks of it, a good time was had by all.
