Jeremiah Trotter and Merrill Reese are going into the Eagles' Hall of Fame.
The Philadelphia Eagles are adding two big names to their Hall of Fame.
It was announced Tuesday that Eagles great Jeremiah Trotter will be a member of the team's 2016 Hall of Fame class. Along with Trotter, Eagles radio announcer Merrill Reese will be enshrined into Hall of Fame as well.
This honor is well-deserved for both Trotter and Reese. In his 11-year NFL career, Trotter spent three separate stints with the Eagles and became a perfect fit in Defensive Coordinator Jim Johnson's aggressive scheme. Trotter, also known as "The Axeman," spent a total of eight seasons with the Eagles and was selected to play in four Pro Bowls with the Eagles.
Reese spent 40 seasons as the voice of the Eagles. Reese was born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love and cares about the Eagles as much as, if not more than, any Eagles diehard. When you listen to the Eagles game over your car radio, you look no further than legendary voice of Reese.
Both Reese and Trotter have certainly earned their way into the Eagles' Hall of Fame and it's pretty safe to say that this year's Hall of Fame inductees could be considered a slam dunk.
