The Green Bay Packers opened training camp this week, officially kicking it off with the annual tradition of players riding kids' bikes into practice. Eddie Lacy was among the players to report to Green Bay, debuting his much slimmer physique after an offseason filled with weight-loss regimens.

Lacy looks like the more agile player he was a few years ago, which is a good sign for the Packers offense. However, he's grown tired of discussing his body.

"I'm tired of talking about it," Lacy said via ESPN. "I'm pretty sure you all are tired of asking about it. I'm tired of hearing about it everywhere I go. I'm done with that."

Lacy hasn't actually discussed his weight much at all this offseason, though it's undeniable that his dieting and program with P90X founder Tony Horton has grabbed headlines for the past four months. It's hard to blame the running back for wanting to focus on football and not his body, though.

Head coach Mike McCarthy feels the same way, and he put it plainly.

"I'm just going to be frank here: I'm done talking about people's weight," McCarthy said. "I've never put a guy's individual weight in the media. That's not something I talk about, and in Eddie's particular case, I've talked enough about his weight. "I think there was a lot of drama added to that statement, quite frankly. I felt like I gave an honest answer to a question that I think was obvious."

McCarthy said Lacy is "ready to go," and he certainly looks it. He should return to being the 1,000-yard back, which he was in 2013 and 2014. His production has dropped off in nearly every relevant category since his rookie year, but that should change this season. It would be a surprise to see him fail to reach the century mark on the ground.
