BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) The Sabres have re-signed forward Marcus Foligno to a one-year contract.

Team officials announced the deal Thursday for the restricted free agent coming off a promising season. Foligno had career highs last season with 75 games, 10 goals and 23 points. He also tied a career high with 13 assists.

Foligno has played five seasons in Buffalo after being drafted in the fourth round in 2009.
