CHICAGO (AP) The New York Yankees have moved struggling starter Nathan Eovaldi to the bullpen.
With Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller unavailable for Monday's game at the White Sox, Yankees manager Joe Girardi says Eovaldi will be New York's ''seventh- and eighth-inning guy today.'' Girardi says rookie Chad Green will start Friday night at Cleveland.
Eovaldi has lost each of his last four starts. The hard-throwing right-hander is 6-6 with a 5.54 ERA after going 14-3 last year in his first season in New York.
It's unclear how long he will work out of the bullpen. Girardi says he envisions Eovaldi as a starter, but they have a need in the bullpen right now.
