Emotions were flying high after Kevin Durant announced his decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors on Monday.

The NBA superstar's free agency decision caused a temporary bout of mass hysteria on the internet, causing the Player's Tribune website to temporarily crash, while Twitter erupted with scorching hot takes.

Overall, NBA players seemed shocked by the news, and some Thunder fans were so angry that they burned their Durant jerseys in disgust.
