ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria is out of the lineup because of left forearm soreness.
Longoria, who was pinch-hit for in the final inning of Wednesday night's 3-2 win, 13-inning win over Seattle, said he could come off the bench in Thursday's matchup with the Mariners.
Longoria said the arm is sore but didn't rule out playing Friday night against San Francisco.
