The IndyCar Series race in Texas will go deeper into the night.
There were several periods of rain earlier Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway. The sky cleared considerably and the track was still being dried when IndyCar and track officials said the scheduled green flag had been pushed back nearly an hour. The revised start time was 9:45 p.m. EDT.
Carlos Munoz is the polesitter for the Firestone 600. Defending race champion Scott Dixon qualified second.
