Dustin Johnson started his final round at the Memorial Tournament as one of the favorites to win, but a string of three bogeys in four holes to begin his back nine just before a rain delay may cost the world No. 8 his first title of the season.
Johnson bombed his drive at the par-4 10th hole well left of the fairway, and it landed in the middle of a tree. Forced to try and poke the ball out, Johnson managed to knock it just a few yards in front of him - but the ball trickled down the cartpath and eventually rolled 48 yards down the hole.
Johnson hit his third shot to 12 feet, but two-putted for a bogey. After going out with a 3-under 33, Johnson bogeyed 10, 12 and 13 to fall two shots behind leaders William McGirt and Matt Kuchar.
