ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference basketball championships will remain in Albany for another three years.
The MAAC Council of Presidents voted Wednesday in New York City to play the postseason tournaments at Times Union Center from 2017-2019.
Albany has hosted the MAAC championships 16 times since 1990. This year's tournaments for the men and women attracted nearly 30,000 fans, a 20 percent increase from 2015.
