The Dallas Cowboys' thinning defensive line took another hit Wednesday amid reports that rookie defensive tackle Maliek Collins broke his right foot during organized team activities last week.
Collins, a third-round pick out of Nebraska, is expected to be sidelined for up to 12 weeks. He already has had surgery.
It's the latest setback for a unit could be without defensive ends Randy Gregory and Demarcus Lawrence -- both of whom are facing substance-abuse policy suspensions the first four games of the regular season (Gregory's is official, and Lawrence's has been reported). Defensive end Greg Hardy, who was second on the team with six sacks last season after serving a four-game suspension, isn't expected to be re-signed.
