The Kansas City Royals seemingly have snapped out of their early-season funk, having won eight of their past 10 games to move back atop the AL Central.

But all that losing earlier in the season apparently created some celebration rust.

Witness catcher Drew Butera on Monday. Just about everything that could go wrong did go wrong as he planned a postgame sneak attack on Eric Hosmer, who homered in the win and drove in his 10th, 11th and 12th runs in the past five games.

We'll cut Butera some slack since his playing time is nearly nonexistent when Salvador Perez is healthy. However, Perez currently is resting a sore quad.
