Today should have been the late Dale Earnhardt's 65th birthday and chances are, there's no place he would have rather spent it than at Talladega Superspeedway, where he was the unquestioned master of restrictor-plate racing.

During his NASCAR Hall of Fame career, the Intimidator dominated the action at Talladega, where he still holds the all-time track records for victories (10), top fives (23), top 10s (27) and laps led (1,377).

Put simply, no one was ever better on restrictor-plate tracks than Earnhardt was, although Dale Jr. is no slouch himself and enters Sunday's GEICO 500 (FOX, 12:30 p.m. ET) as the pre-race favorite.
