MILAN --

Napoli's title hopes are all but over after losing 3-1 at Udinese to leave it six points behind Serie A leader Juventus with only seven rounds remaining.

To add to Napoli's misery Sunday, top goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain was sent off following two bookings. The Argentina international had to be dragged off the pitch by fellow players and was clearly upset.

Second spot is also in jeopardy as third-place Roma can move to within four points of Napoli with a win in the derby match against Lazio.

Bruno Fernandes gave Udinese the lead from the penalty spot in the 14th minute and although Higuain leveled with his 30th goal in 31 matches, Fernandes scored again on the stroke of halftime, then Cyril Thereau sealed the result.
