Anderson Silva will likely get the opportunity to fight in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil, as the former middleweight champion is expected to return against "Ultimate Fighter" finalist Uriah Hall at UFC 198 on May 14.

Sources confirmed the matchup to FOX Sports on Wednesday night following an initial report by Sherdog.com. The UFC has made no official confirmation about the fight.

Silva is fresh off a unanimous decision loss to Michael Bisping at UFC Fight Night in London in February.

The legendary Brazilian lost a razor-close fight to the Brit, which also knocked him out of any potential title contention in the immediate future.

But after a sporadic schedule that included more than a year off dealing with a broken leg and another year-long suspension following a positive drug test, Silva will attempt to stay busy with his second fight booked in 2016.

For Hall, the chance to face a legend like Silva is by far the biggest opportunity of his career.

The highly hyped middleweight prospect has faced a litany of ups and downs throughout his UFC career since joining the promotion by way of "The Ultimate Fighter".

Most recently, Hall fell by decision to Robert Whittaker at UFC 193 in Australia this past November.

Now Hall gets the chance to face a future UFC Hall of Famer while competing in front of 40,000 people at the stadium in Brazil, where the event is being held.

Silva and Hall join a stacked UFC 198 fight card, including the main event, which pits heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum against Stipe Miocic.
