ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) Authorities say a former University of Tennessee football player is accused of trying to entice a 14-year-old girl for sex in Florida.

Pinellas County Sheriff's officials said in a release Wednesday that 23-year-old Mackenzie ''Mack'' Crowder was arrested Tuesday night near St. Petersburg.

Investigators say Crowder engaged in an online conversation with someone he thought was a teenage girl beginning Jan. 21. They say he sent four inappropriate photos and solicited ''the minor'' to engage in sex acts with him.

The release says Crowder was arrested after arranging Tuesday to meet her in Florida.

Crowder faces five felony charges. He was released on $50,000 bond Wednesday. Jail records didn't list an attorney for Crowder.

The university website lists Crowder, of Bristol, Tennessee, as a senior guard and center last season.
