Chicago Cubs pitcher Jason Hammel already has one victory under his belt despite being a few months removed from the start of the Major League Baseball season.

Hammel earned bragging rights over teammate Anthony Rizzo on Sunday after the 33-year-old hurler scored in the "Shoot The Puck" contest during intermission of the host Chicago Blackhawks' game against the St. Louis Blues. Although he won't be confused with superstar Patrick Kane any time soon, Hammel was able to score from center ice.

"I made one, so I saved faced. Better than Rizzo, right? Way better."

Ever the good teammate, Hammel promptly took to Twitter and needled Rizzo for, ahem, let's just say striking out during his turn a few weeks ago.

The left-handed Rizzo did his best to defend himself, noting that he shot the puck right-handed.

Wow you make shooting right handed look so easy dude... https://t.co/l8aCyHEfNp

Looks like it's going to be another long season at Wrigley Field.
