Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was banged up in 2015. but his bum ankle wasn't bothersome enough to keep him off the field. He started all 16 games and played 1,000 of a possible 1,077 offensive snaps.

Only six Lions -- three offensive, three defensive -- played more snaps than Johnson this past season. They were quarterback Matthew Stafford, left tackle Riley Reiff, linebacker Josh Bynes, cornerback Darius Slay, safety Glover Quin and left guard Laken Tomlinson.

Although Johnson's ankle landed him on the injury report from Week 7 until the end of the season, it did not cost him any games and rarely forced him off the field. He finished the year with 88 receptions for 1,214 yards and nine touchdowns, proving that he can still be a dominant force at the age of 30.

Injuries have plagued the super-sized pass-catcher for the past three seasons, though. The game is taking its toll on Megatron's body, so the aging wide receiver is carefully considering his options for the future -- possibly an early retirement.

Although he is probably past his prime, Johnson's production in 2015 is proof that he's still a solid asset for the Lions on offense.
