Teddy Purcell scored in the shootout to lift the Edmonton Oilers to a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Saturday night.

Mark Fayne scored in regulation for the Oilers, who snapped a four-game skid and won at home against Calgary for the first time in their last eight meetings here. Cam Talbot had 31 saves.

Sam Bennett scored in the first period for the Flames, who have lost three of four. Jonas Hiller finished with 36 saves.

Bennett put Calgary on the board 11 minutes into the first period when he took a pass from Mikael Backlund and then made a move before beating Talbot with a backhand shot for his 11th goal of the season.

Fayne tied it for Edmonton midway through the third. Taylor Hall won a faceoff back to Fayne, who sent his first of the season through traffic and past Hiller.
