Jamey Jasta joins the Great MMA Debate podcast

On the latest episode of The Great MMA Debate podcast, heavy metal legend Jamey Jasta joins the show to talk about the release of his band's newest album and helps the crew break down the upcoming fight between TJ Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz.

Jasta has been a mainstay of the music scene for more than a decade as the front man for Hatebreed and several other groups. But he's also a huge fan of mixed martial arts in his spare time.

On the show this week, Jasta will give fans an inside look at the new Hatebreed ablum titled "The Concrete Confessional" that's due out thus spring as well as the tour the band is planning around the record release.

Jasta will also talk about his friendship with recently deceased Motorhead singer Lemmy Kilmister and he'll tell one of his favorite stories about time on the road with the iconic singer.

Jasta also addresses the recent change made by UFC president Dana White that allowed his songs to be played for fighters who were walking into the arena. For several years, White wouldn't allow tracks from Hatebreed to be played but he recently changed his mind.

It was certainly welcome news for Jasta, who has not only supported the UFC for many years but actually sponsored fighters in the past as well.

"It's like little victories now," Jasta said. "I'll do whatever I have to do, it's not about the money for me. It's about having the exposure and a kick-ass vibe going into the fights. With Matt, it was different because I wrote the song for him but when a fighter just wants to come out to Hatebreed, I don't want there to be this censorship for no reason."
