Michigan has a lot of fourth-year juniors who could be back on the field for the Wolverines next season, but apparently Mario Ojemudia won't be one of them.
The Wolverines hybrid rush linebacker/defensive end had six tackles for loss, including two sacks, in Michigan's first five games before suffering an Achilles injury in October.
Coach Jim Harbaugh suggested in subsequent interviews Ojemudia might have a chance to appeal to the the NCAA for another year of eligibility, but the player's Instagram post would seem to indicate that process is over.
"It's always a great day to be a Michigan Wolverine, but unfortunately for me those days have officially come to an end," he wrote in the post. "Though things didn't work out how I wanted them I know God has a plan, and the first step of that plan is getting healthy to play at the next level. #GoBlue."
Typically the NCAA's cutoff for a medical redshirt is four games played in a season, but hardships can be granted in special cases.
