HONOLULU (AP) Stefan Jankovic had a career-high 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting, Isaac Fleming added 16 points and Hawaii beat Hawaii Pacific 83-71 on Saturday night.

Aaron Valdes had all 12 of his points in the second half and Quincy Smith scored 10. The Rainbow Warriors (7-1) pulled away midway through the second half with 17 straight points and led 74-53 on Fleming's 3-point play with 5:07 left. Hawaii Pacific answered with 10 straight but never got within single digits.

After Hawaii opened the game with a 10-2 run, Hawaii Pacific quickly responded for a 13-12 lead. For the rest of the first half, there was little separation and the teams went into intermission tied at 31.

Hawaii scored the first four of the second half and never trailed from there.

Trevor Baker led the Sharks with 15 points. Chauncey Orr added 12, Joel Feigler 11 and Jordan Martin 10.
