The Oakland Raiders handed a big contract out to their big-bodied power blocker.

That's not all Jamize Olawale does, though. And that's why the 6-foot-1, 240-pound fullback scored a new three-year deal.

"He's a guy that can play a lot of different roles," head coach Jack Del Rio told reporters. "He's got special-teams value. He's got value as a blocker and he can also catch the ball out of the backfield or carry the ball."

Olawale might be the team's best ballcarrier right now. He's carried 24 times this season for 110 yards -- second on the club behind Latavius Murray -- and a touchdown. He also has eight catches for 70 yards.

Not bad for a position NFL decision-makers have deemed all but dead in today's game.
