When you are the top overall prospect in the Peach State, as five-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown is according to 247Sports, you expect the head coach at Georgia to have your number on speed dial. After a long day and a half wait, the call from the new Bulldog head coach Kirby Smart finally came.

It would appear the wait did little to sway Brown from his in-state team and the suspected leader in his recruitment.

Good talk with Coach Smart🙌🏾
