Cam Newton is within striking distance of impressive Panthers record

Carolina's lead man may break an impressive team record in Week 11.

After years of watching Cam Newton play, it's not shocking at all to hear that he's closing in on an incredible team record for the Carolina Panthers.

As Jonathan Jones of The Charlotte Observer reports, Newton is close to passing Jake Delhomme for the most total offensive yards in team history. Best of all, he should have no problem doing it in Week 11.

Barring some type of incredibly bad performance on Sunday, Newton will likely hit that 86 yard mark pretty early on.
