Things are changing in Green Bay.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said on Wednesday that James Starks will be the team's No. 1 running back heading into their Week 10 game against the Detroit Lions. That would be ahead of Eddie Lacy, who started the season atop the running back depth chart.
McCarthy said that Starks has earned the opportunity as he's rushed for 334 yards with a touchdown, while also catching 25 passes for another 167 yards and another two touchdowns this season. Lacy has started seven games in 2015, but has only been able to muster 308 rushing yards and two touchdowns, as questions have arisen about his weight.
The Packers plan to use Starks and Lacy as a 1-2 punch at the position.
