If the BWAA's vote turns out like MLB players' did, Zack Greinke will be taking home the Cy Young Award this year in the National League.
The Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed ace was selected anonymously by his peers as National League Outstanding Pitcher, which was announced during Monday night's Players Choice Awards.
Greinke is considered to be in a close race for the NL Cy Young Award with Chicago Cubs righty Jake Arrieta, who had a spectacular second half of the season.
Greinke has won the award once before, taking it home in 2009 while with the Kansas City Royals. His left-handed ace counterpart on the Dodgers, Clayton Kershaw, has won the NL version of the award the past two seasons, also being granted the award in 2011.
Greinke had one of the most consistent seasons in recent history in 2015, posting a 19-3 record with a 1.66 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and 200 strikeouts over 222 2/3 innings.
