The NFL upheld Aqib Talib's one-game ban on Tuesday night. Mark J. Rebilas USA TODAY Sports
Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib fought the league -- and the league won.
They upheld his one-game suspension for eye-poking on Tuesday. He won't be able to suit up on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Additionally, Talib will miss out on a game check for Week 10. That'll cost him $351,102, according to 9NEWS Broncos Insider Mike Klis.
Talib maintained the eye gouge was a mistake as he tried to pry Colts tight end Dwayne Allen off a teammate.
But his glove clearly sunk into Allen's helmet and lingered, giving the NFL enough clear evidence to keep his ban as is.
