After a strong start to the season, the Washington Redskins' run defense had struggled over their past three games entering a Week 9 game against the New England Patriots. This problem did not go away in the team's 27-10 loss to the Patriots.

The Patriots finished with 161 yards rushing and one touchdown on 37 carries. Lead runner LaGarrette Blount had his way with the Redskins' front -- he compiled 129 rushing yards and a score on 29 carries.

The Redskins were without big nose tackle Terrance Knighton due to an intense migraine. His absence was felt in the middle of the defense where the Patriots got a ton of push up front.

In Week 10, the Redskins will host the New Orleans Saints, a team that has one of the strongest interior offensive lines in the NFL.
