DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Malcolm Bell threw for 121 yards and a touchdown and Dorrel McClain rushed for 120 yards to lead North Carolina Central to a 43-10 victory over winless Delaware State on Saturday.
The Eagles (6-3, 5-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) now have won five straight after starting the season 1-3 and trail only North Carolina A&T and Bethune-Cookman in conference play.
North Carolina Central struggled to a 17-10 halftime advantage but scored 26 unanswered points in the second half as Nigel Macauley hit field goals of 22 and 42 yards and LaVontis Smith returned a punt 61 yards for a score and a 29-10 lead in the third quarter.
David Miller grabbed six passes for 77 yards and one score and Armani Lanier caught six for 75 yards for the Eagles.
Gilbert Rivera threw for 104 yards to lead Delaware State (0-9, 0-6).
