The New York Giants could be getting some much needed good news in the secondary. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the results from cornerback Prince Amukamara's Monday MRI were encouraging. There is even a chance that he can suit up and play in Week 9.

Amukamara suffered a pectoral injury that has kept him sidelined since the Giants' Week 5 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Since then, the Giants' secondary has collapsed. Most recently, they allowed Drew Brees and the Saints to throw for 511 yards passing and seven touchdowns.
The addition of Amukamara would be a major boost for the secondary and pass defense overall. Before his injury, Amukamara was playing arguably the best football of his five-year career with the Giants.
