One year after a gut-wrenching World Series Game 7 loss to the San Francisco Giants that probably robbed the Kansas City Royals of their appetites, the team and its staff received a delivery of 25 pizzas congratulating them on their accomplishment this year.

On Monday, the Giants put in the call to K.C. pizza joint Minsky's while the Royals were making preparations for Tuesday's parade in Kansas City:

The note on one of the pizzas reads, "Have fun planning the parade -- and enjoy the ride!"

You stay classy, San Francisco. Hungry Royals staff members got to dive into the pizzas first as the team had yet to arrive home from New York.

According to Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News, the 2013 World Series champion Boston Red Sox actually started the tradition in 2014 with a pizza delivery to Giants employees at AT&T Park.

"We can't take credit for this, but we're happy to continue it," Giants vice president Staci Slaughter said.

It's a nice tradition that may get threatened only if MLB ever has another repeat champion, which has not happened since the Yankees went back-to-back-to-back in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
