The Kansas City Royals persevered in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday night, locking up their first championship since 1985 with a dramatic 7-2 win over the New York Mets at Citi Field.

After the game, the relentless, resilient, tireless Royals exhaled after a hard-fought postseason run with a raucous clubhouse celebration, and much of it was shared on social media.

Even actor and noted longtime Royals supporter Paul Rudd was in the clubhouse for the revelry (as Mike Oz of Big League Stew documented):

The smattering of Royals fans in attendance at Citi Field were also honored when Jarrod Dyson emerged to thank them personally on top of the dugout. As if that wasn't enough, the World Series trophy made its way out to the fans as well...
