Vikings rookie WR Stefon Diggs is quickly adjusting to the NFL game. Brace Hemmelgarn USA TODAY Sports

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs is off to an explosive start to his NFL career. Diggs wasn't inserted into Minnesota's offensive lineup until Week 4, but he has become one of the team's most dangerous weapons in only a few games.

Against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Diggs caught his first career touchdown. It'll be a tough one for the rookie to top, too, as the 36-yard strike required a full extension to complete. Check it out in the video below, courtesy of the NFL's official Twitter account.

After recording his first career 100-yard performance in his first career start last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, Diggs now has caught at least five passes and accumulated at least 80 receiving yards in each of Minnesota's past three games.

With speedy wideout Mike Wallace starting opposite Diggs, the Vikings' offense is more dynamic than it has been in years past, when All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson was the team's only real weapon on that side of the ball. Second-year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has come along as of late, and a lot of that has to do with Diggs' immediate impact.

Diggs, only 21 years old, was a fifth-round pick out of Maryland in this year's draft, making him one of the class' biggest steals so far.
