Lions WR Calvin Johnson came up with a crazy nine-yard catch near the goal line on Sunday. Raj Mehta USA TODAY Sports

Well, this is probably why they call him Megatron.

During the Detroit Lions' 28-19 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, wide receiver Calvin Johnson made one of those catches that remind us of his greatness. When quarterback Matthew Stafford's late-game pass attempt was sent sailing, Johnson somehow rose above three Vikings defenders to come down with the ball.

The only thing crazier than the catch was the fact that Minnesota somehow kept him out of the end zone. The Vikings went on to hold up with a goal-line stand. They forced incompletions on first and second down, then stuffed runs on third and fourth down.

Minnesota's two-score victory over an NFC North rival -- which lifted the team to 4-2 on the season -- gives them some legitimacy as the difference between the pretenders and contenders in the division grew a little clearer in Week 7.
