Wilson had a rough first half vs. USC. Russell Isabella Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports
USC linebacker Cameron Smith had a very impressive first half vs. Utah: He made the highlight reel with a pick-six vs. Utah's Travis Wilson.
The pick was Smith's second of the 2nd quarter; his touchdown gave USC a 28-14 advantage over the Utes. Utah entered the game undefeated, ranked third-overall in the most recent AP Top 25 poll. USC, unranked with a 3-3 record, needed a home victory and a strong first half.
Wilson had three interceptions in his first five games, moving his total to five after the poor first half.
Wilson started off the game 9-for-9, completing all of his pass attempts. He then completed just two of his next eleven pass attempts, including two interceptions to Smith in the second quarter.
