The Los Angeles Dodgers and manager Don Mattingly have mutually decided to part ways, CBS Sports first reported Thursday.
Mattingly led the team to its third consecutive NL West title this season, but the Dodgers lost in the NLDS for the second consecutive season. In 2013, Los Angeles lost in the NLCS.
In five seasons as Dodgers manager, Mattingly's record was 446-363 during the regular season, but he was just 8-11 in the postseason.
The Dodgers' last World Series championship was in 1988.
